Mystery School

We live in an extremely unique and important time in human history.
Never before have the secret (esoteric) teachings of all ages been available to practically anyone who so desired them. As modern materialistic Science finds itself at a point where the reality of higher human consciousness can no longer be ignored the ancient teachings hold the missing link to understanding the higher, hidden “non physical” layers of existence.

The Modern Mystery School is a Term used by myself and others to describe teachings which provide insight or understanding into the nature of existence from a cosmic or metaphysical perspective. Each human being is a participant in this school whether they are aware of it or not. To understand human history as an evolution of consciousness (and not just of physical matter) is a significant factor in “knowing thyself ”. The Mystery Schools throughout all ages of human history address this ongoing and evolving question about the nature of reality.
When one asks of themselves the question, “who” or “what” am I? One will find the answer to be a multiple conglomeration of factors. Usually one answers this question with references to things one does or accomplishments one has achieved, various factors relating to occupation or station in life etc… and yet, is the actual beingness of Self contained within these things? Eventually one comes to the realization that this question can only be answered by oneself and the answer is in fact an ever evolving one. Herein lies the beginning to the path of self knowledge, of “self realization”, or “illumination”, also referred to as “initiation”. There are 3 main components to this path which consist of the following:
1. Study (Kabbala, Tantra, Gnosis, Anthroposophy, basically any study of reality from a metaphysical or cosmic perspective)
2. Meditation (to have a personal ongoing relationship/analysis of self & all relationships)
3. Service (To offer yourself in some form which benefits or uplifts humanity)

The Heart Temple has both a physical and metaphysical role in this Modern Mystery School. As a physical manifestation, It is a place where one can meditate, find sanctuary, honor the Great Spirit (Tao), interact with the elemental beings, and commune with fellow humans on the path. As a metaphysical manifestation the Heart Temple exists within the heart of every human being. It is the place where the lower & higher aspects meet, where lunar forces are transformed into solar, where a sense of intelligence higher than that of the intellect is born and exists. Where one realizes the interconnected nature and divine quality of all things in existence.

I highly recommend any work by Steiner, but especially the following: An Outline of Esoteric Science, Christianity as Mystical Fact and the Mysteries of Antiquity, Knowledge of the Higher Worlds and its Attainment, Theosophy. There is a huge library of audio books available online, including a lecture series.

There are SO MANY authors and teachers of this modern mystery school it’s PROFOUNDLY AMAZING, I highly recommend reading any thing that your soul draws itself to when faced with the question, who am I? What am I? Does the Material analysis of the world contain the deeper truths I feel within?
